Cheryl Nelson to Emcee WeatherReady Fest!
Local meteorologist and television personality Cheryl Nelson will be the Emcee at the WeatherReady Fest on Saturday, September 16, 2017 from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m.
Cheryl will be the ringmaster of a three ringed circus of fun activities and games, speakers, large equipment and even the debit of an important new movie about storm chasing.
Cheryl has recently taken on the role of Co-Anchor for the exciting new Coast Live show on WTKR-TV. “Our new show is about the community, and WeatherReady Fest will bring important weather safety information to people in our area in a fun and interesting way,” she said.
Over forty exhibitors and ten speakers will highlight the day long event at Nauticus, on the waterfront in downtown Norfolk. The event is totally free, including admission to the museum and the Battleship Wisconsin. Be sure to protect your place at WeatherReady Fest by securing your free, timed ticket. Just pick the hour you would like to arrive. There is no limit to how long you can stay. The tickets are being distributed just to spread out the expected crowd over the seven hour event.
